Diagnosis of Tumor Located in the Mandibular Bone

This is a clinical case in which a swelling located in the mandible was observed that involves the bony cortical located in the horizontal branch of the mandible on the right side, with no symptoms or typical signs of inflammation, there is a need to make the differential diagnosis between benign and malignant tumor, for which a CT scan and an incisional biopsy were performed. The results of these tests rule out malignancy and suggest that it is a peripheral ossifying fibroma.
